The Houston International Sports Film Festival Screenwriting Championship accepts shorts, pilots and feature screenplays that involve any sports setting, athlete or competitive event and works to drive more attention to sports stories in Hollywood by recognizing the unsung writers of these inspiring scripts.

However, a writer who has earned more than $50,000 (or equivalent currency) from professional writing services for film or TV in the preceding year is not eligible. (Contest winnings not included.) |
