Writing can be a slow process. And it can feel like the day-to-day progress is… well, not exactly much progress.

But here we are, at the end of 2021. And I hope you can take a moment to reflect on your writing of the past year and find that progress has been made.

Sometimes it’s not the progress we expect, and sometimes it can seem incredibly slow in the moment. But if I consider where my story was when the year started and where it is now, I realize I have made progress. And it’s actually far more progress than I realized.

So here’s to a year of writing already done. And here’s to a new year of new writing waiting to be penned!
